Anna Zubova, Director of the Central Asia Office of Leipziger Messe, noted: "This is the first time we participate as co-organizers of the machine building exhibition together with Astana Expo and Leipziger Messe. Since this is the first time we are getting acquainted with the market and representatives of the mechanical engineering industry in Kazakhstan and in order to interest German companies to come next time and start cooperation with Kazakhstan, we decided to organize such a B2B meeting to introduce German and Kazakh companies to each other. I think it was a very important event, we got to know each other and found out a little bit what is interesting for the market of Kazakhstan, which will allow us to bring large stands to the exhibition under the auspices of the German Ministry of Economy in the future. For our part, we agreed that we will help to establish contacts and do everything we can to help establish cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan."
Round table Harmonization of as Many Technical Regulations as Possible and Alignment of Quality Infrastructure by Germany / EU - Central Asian Countries. Jens Boellmann, Director of SME/Green Transformation, the Technical Regulation Project, said: "Mechanical engineering is very important sector in Germany. Especially for the German economy. And therefore, we should talk about how we can harmonize standards, rules, technical regulations, what standards exist that are used by Kazakhstani companies. Today, we have started discussing how we can do this together so that these rules and standards better coincide. Europe has such a tendency that all these documents and certificates are electronic, but this does not exist in Kazakhstan yet. However, it is essential to do this in order to successfully enter international markets. Therefore, we have concluded that we will discuss this with Kazakhstani companies in order to further achieve our goals."
